Displacement of mountain caribou from winter habitat by snowmobiles

In a 2006 study by Dale Seip, Chris Johnson, and Glen Watts, the scientists conclude that intensive snowmobiling has displaced mountain caribou from an area of suitable habitat. They recommend that snowmobile activity be restricted from all or most high quality mountain caribou habitat as part of the recovery planning process.
